Research in the Department of Neurosciences

The research effort in the Department of Neurosciences is funded by ~$12 million from federal and private sources, including NIH funded centers on addiction and movement disorders. In addition, the research program is supported by pre- and postdoctoral training grants. Current growth and faculty recruitment in the department is focused on research translating basic research discoveries of brain biochemistry and physiology into patient therapies.
