POST-OP
It's your responsibility to follow postoperative instructions.
Certain exercises are essential for full recovery.
- coughing and deep breathing
- using an incentive spirometer, as directed, to exercise your
lungs and measure your breathing capacity
- frequent turning
- leg exercises
The neurological team of residents and nursing staff visit you
each morning before 7 a.m. This early time is necessary so that
any needs you may have can be identified, or discharge preparations
can be initiated early for your convenience. It also allows residents
time to begin other surgical cases.
