Academic Pediatric Neurological Surgeon.

The Medical University of South Carolina Department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Pediatric Neurosurgeon for the Children’s Hospital affiliated with the Medical University in Charleston. We seek a BC/BE certified neurosurgeon with fellowship training in pediatric neurosurgery. This position will be tightly focused on pediatric neurosurgery with about 200 surgical cases per year. Initial salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and training with the potential of increased reimbursement based on overall productivity. Given the recent institutional and College of Medicine’s primary focus and commitment to develop the Neurosciences, candidates with research interests, basic or translational, will also be seriously considered.

The Children’s Hospital is ranked the highest in the Southeast and 11th nationally. The facility includes the only Level III Neonatal and Pediatric intensive care units in the region. The new Children's Research Institute, opening in 2005, is to be the largest and most comprehensive pediatric research facility in the Carolinas.
