UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION
Medical students receive an introduction to clinical neurosurgery
in their third year. Selectives (3 weeks) are offered in General
Neurosurgery, Spine, Pediatric Neurosurgery, Neuro-oncology and
Neuro-critical Care.
If a medical student is interested in pursuing neurosurgery
in greater depth, clerkships of four or more weeks are offered
to students from MUSC and other accredited medical schools. The
Office of the Dean for Students (843-792-2086) coordinates arrangements
for such clerkships.
