The clinical service at MUSC-MC is divided into two teams. Team A (Neuro-oncology, Stereotactic/Functional/Pain) and Teama B (Pediatric, Cerebrovascular, Spine). Both teams handle general neurosurgical and general spine cases. Each team has a PA assigned to it, and an intern every alternate month. The Administrative Chief (NS-6) and Senior (NS-5) residents lead each of these teams, and are responsible for team rounds, operative cases for each team and resident assignments to the operating rooms. Conferences are organizedand are the responsibility of the Chief Resident.
