SPINA BIFIDA CLINIC

The Spina Bifida Clinic at MUSC provides multidisciplinary care for over 250 children with spina bifida. The children are followed from birth through age 18. Coordinated by Amy Romanczyk, RN, specialists from pediatric neurosurgery, pediatric urology, developmental pediatrics, pediatric orthopedics, physical therapy and orthotics come together weekly to deal with the complex challenges of spina bifida in childhood. By providing a single clinic site at which all specialists are present, the frequency of visits and complexity of coordinating care are greatly simplified for the patients and their parents.

The Spina Bifida Clinic meets the first, second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
