Kelly A. Cavins, RN
Kelly is a native of Moline, Illinois. She earned her Diploma in Nursing from Lutheran Hospital School for Nurses in Moline and has over 24 years of nursing experience. She has worked in a variety of specialties but has dedicated the majority of her career to neuroscience nursing. Kelly was the Charge Nurse for the MUSC Neuroscience Unit for 8 years and was instrumental in the opening of the 26 bed unit.
Currently Kelly is the Epilepsy Inpatient Nurse Coordinator for adult and pediatric programs, as well as the Nurse Leader for the Epilepsy Nurses. She has also participated in epilepsy research projects and assisted in organizing epilepsy education events for patients and families. She is a member of American Epilepsy Society and Coastal Carolina Chapter of American Association of Neuroscience Nurses.
Kelly is committed to caring for epilepsy patients and their families; ensuring they receive professional, comprehensive, and compassionate care.
